Roblox Sued Over No-Refund Policy for Minors’ In-Game Purchases

Roblox Corp.’s policy of not refunding purchases made on its online gaming platform fails to give minors their legal right to rescind contracts, a new proposed class action in a California federal court says.

Roblox games are ostensibly free to play. However, the platform “encourages impressionable minors to make in-game purchases,” according to the lawsuit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
